i dunno . he didn't accomplish that much the last few years , even with one of the all time legacy programs helping his recruiting power.  |

You have to look at it from the angle that MN is as low as it's ever been. They would build statues of Tubby if he delivers 20 win seasons. With the Michigan and Iowa jobs open it was easily the worst of the 3 in the Big Ten.
He brings instant recognition and hopefully better coaching. And guaranteed he has zero chance of being a worse recruiter than Monson. If he turns this program and gets them just into the NCAA tourney he will be revered here.
