OT, but part of the story cited by Aske:

Another resolution approved Wednesday on protecting children from **** abuse urged Southern Baptists churches and organizations to respond quickly to allegations and conduct background checks. The resolution also denounced any efforts to "cover up," ignore or condone abuse.

Out of curiosity, does ANY other type of organization have to contemplate policy that deals with child **** abuse? Does an organization like the National Education Association even have to have a discussion about child **** abuse let alone adopt a policy concerning it?

Maybe not the NEA although I'm sure it would be something along the lines of "Protect member until politically unwise to do so.  Then bail like a mother*fudge*er."

District school boards and state boards of education obviously have a policy that addresses how to "handle" the accused, the alleged victim and other students until it's all sorted out.  "It's not allowed" seems to be the first line item quickly followed by something along the lines of "Suspended with pay".

I can't imagine ANY organization that deals with little ones lacking a child (****) abuse policy.   [sm_dontknow]
