Title: Played with Dad and son today
Post by: Spanky on June 07, 2010, 10:47:16 AM
First time out this year, in fact first time since last summer. Played like expected. Some shots were great, some were OK, some were horrid. Putting sucked. Spotted my dad 10 stokes, he only needed 4.  :sad3:

First time my son played a full 18. He played with my mom's clubs as he is 11 and only 5'4". I had built them for her a couple years ago. My son tried a couple different drivers through the day (one of mine, one of my dad's, and the one I made for my mom). He was killing my mom's driver. Its a pink BOM 401 HL on an SKFiber VIP L flex at 43" When he hit it solid he was knocking it out there 200 something yards dead straight. No future pro yet but I see a future playing partner.

Hot as hell but still a great day to get out. Teed off at 6:40. Nothing like getting out there with no one in front and no one behind.

[sm_shock] 200 yards dead straight!  nice!

Very cool to play with 3 generations.  [sm_thumbsup2]  My dad is getting up there in years, I'm not sure we're going to be able to pull it off by the time my daughter gets old enough.
