Your infatuation with Sarah Palin is starting to become either a little much or oddly disturbing. We get it. She's not cut out to be V.P. and is way out of her league. McCain/Palin are going to get crushed in the election.

Move along.

Hey, Larry, blow me.

He might just do that, if he's in the stall next to you

Confusing.   Sounds more like a response from people who actually   fly over  states like mine.

OMG!  If those two tried harder they couldn't appear more dysfunctional.  Whoever the *fudge* is in charge of that campaign, his career has totally tanked.

I've wondered the same thing. It's curious how McCain has tried to paint Obama as lacking in executive experience yet Obama's henchman haven't fired back by saying we should all look at the way these campaigns have been run. Obama has run a very effective, efficient, record breaking campaign (in terms of organization, scope, GOTV, registration, etc) that has stayed on message from the start and with minimal hiccups along the way. McCain is on his third or fourth slogan and he appears to be making it up as he goes along. They can't even stay on the same message and have to appear in these awkward interviews where they try and correct things on the fly. This shoot from the hip style of managment is getting tired, especially after the last eight years.

If the campaigns are any indication, Obama is clearly more ready to lead than McCain.

As always, eloquently put.

The sort of aftertaste I sense from that clip is a bit more horrifying.  If McCain feels compelled to join his VP in what should be a simple interview, and then dominate the conversation, imagine how difficult he will find it to delegate the day to day problems facing his presidency to those working for him.

He'll make Jimmy Carter--who's major weakness, for our friends from across the pond, was micromanagement--look like The Greatest Task Delegator Ever.  At his age, I find it hard not to think he'll be driven crazy, or senile, or both--by the job.

Someplace along the way I saw or read some comment that nothing happens in the McCain campaign without Walnuts! approval.

As you say, this adds to the impression he really doesn't appear up to the task.

Because of how organizationally complex campaigns have gotten, it certainly does seem like the candidate that runs a better campaign is the one that exhibits the better executive qualities. I'll go so far to say that running a good presidential campaign appears to take more leadership skills than it does to run a state like Alaska.

Obviously I agree. I wish Obama would use his people to try and hammer that point home. You're seeing a preview of things to come right now, and what you're seeing out of McCain has already been epic it oddness.

I've thought about what is becoming Obama's obvious decision to wear a white hat and stay above the fray.  This no longer appears to be an accident, or inherent timidity.  The McCain camp has dropped its hands, exposing itself to a knockout punch, far too many times, and Obama hasn't taken the bait.  Surely, Obama is aware of Kerry's fatal flaw, an unwillingness to fight back and get dirty?  Why won't Obama get nasty and put an end to those moron's post haste?

I think a purposeful decision has been made to run a campaign of apparent integrity.  To take the high road.  It is a high risk gambit, but it just might win....so long as McCain keeps stumbling.  In part, I suspect the Obama people have chosen this road, to appear magisterial, as a means to trump the 'lack of experience' flaw.

But mostly, I suspect they do this because their polling told them that being an uppity negro wasn't going to do him any good, at all. Period.  No Mr. Tibbs moments for this one, nuh-uh.

(I'm sure, like Idiocracy, this is nothing new and aske will post a link forthwith)

You saved me from typing since this was what I was going to say until I got to the above line.  I'm not sure about uppity, but angry...they don't want to be angry. Obama doesn't need to appeal to people like us. He needs to appeal to people who, let's face it, are a little scared of black people. Those people are really afraid of angry negoes, even more than uppity ones, imo.

I agree with the significance of Obama seeming "angry". Sadly.

Another reason was just posted by Aske.

I saw some of this from Chuck Todd this morning. The numbers are starting to look bad for McCain. Staying above the fray right now is probably best.

Plus right now it seems like it's one WTF? moment a day from the McCain-Palin camp. Everyone can't wait to see the next clip from the Katie Couric interview.

Sorry, Teed, no offense intended.  The lower case is a bad habit from a little satire thing I'm attending to on a semi occasional basis out there on the intergoogles.  In it, I lower case unimportant words like negroes, muslims, jews, mexicans, and cetera, reserving the upper case for the Truly Important Words, like Christians, Republicans, and so on and so forth.

Hey, that was my spelling.

Everyone knows that "negroes" is offensive, sir.
