Still, changing managers right in the middle of the two year World Cup / Olympics cycle can't be a good thing. I doubt this is entirely true - had the US lost with Solo in goal, he'd still have his job. Its the manner in which he lost that cost him the job. A stupid move without a doubt, but it appeared to me that we were going to lose that game regardless. But hey - if he's going to make stupid moves like that - he deserves to go. Not sure we would have lost anyway, but agree it was the way he lost it and how he is failing to manage the team conflicts that really cost him his job..tough to survivie a cluster like that turned out to be. I wonder when the women's program will start getting the level of coaching it deserves.
