Title: More "whining"
Post by: gleek on July 12, 2008, 04:54:52 PM
Check out these charts of the financial sector:

Banks (http://finance.yahoo.com/q/bc?s=c,bac,jpm,wb&t=2y)
Investment Brokerages (http://finance.yahoo.com/q/bc?s=ms,mer,leh&t=2y)

It sure looks like the rats are jumping from the sinking ships. I wouldn't doubt if the rapid decline of many of these stocks' prices is due in large part to the precipitous fall of the US dollar. A lot of financial stocks were pumped up by foreign investment money. Hanging onto a stock that trades in US currency would be putting yourself at a huge disadvantage if you earn your money in euros or Dirhams.

How sad is this? The Iraqi Dinar has been a better investment than the Greenback over the past two years.

How sad is this? The Iraqi Dinar every currency in the world except the Zimbabwe whatever it is  has been a better investment than the Greenback over the past two years.

why do you think they quite publishing this (the M3 component)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Money_supply#United_States

in 2006 ?  it certainly isn't a coincidence  .  extrapolate that curve out  [sm_shock]
guess what else happened at almost the exact same time?

Jeebus. There's no end in sight for these stocks. It keeps getting worse every time I look.
