Empaneled for FOUR MONTHS -- he served a half-day every Mon-Fri during that time. (The cabal at the firm showed him ZERO slack for his drop in billable hours, too.) But for some reason....... Since his parents have moved down here 7 years ago, I think his mom has been called 3 or 4 times. Go figure.... They jerked me around for 4 months (sending notices, requiring me to request days off, changing meetings etc, but always canceling the night before when I called to find out when and where to report) and then released me from the pool. "True American patriot" is a term that gets thrown around with some abandon these days, but I believe in my case it fits.

Once, I got a notice along with a letter saying they were looking for jurors for a trial that would be a couple of months. No way I could do that and got out of that trial but I still was in the pool for the run-of-the-mill stuff. I never was needed and didn't have to show up. I wouldn't mind trying it for a few days. |
