I really thought the majority in the SCOTUS was in the hip pocket of the GOP.
But then again, the majority in the SCOTUS is pretty friendly to corporations, and the individual mandate is actually quite pro-corporation since there is no public option in the AHCA.

Roberts was the swing vote--not Kennedy. Hell, Kennedy even wrote the dissenting opinion.

You broke the code early: The individual mandate is a long time 'Conservative' answer to various 'Liberal' proposals to expand Medicare.
In the 40 years this issue has been hanging around, 'Conservatives' win. Roberts knows this, and so does Obama.
It's really NOT rocket surgery. I do like that he basically called out most of his peers for being partisan hacks somewhere in the decision.
