Aske, I'm "watching" this game on nfl.com's Game Center.  What the hell is going on with the offenses?  Seems like neither team can do anything (besides punt).

Post by: Fuzzy on December 16, 2007, 11:13:29 AM
At least they can punt. NE and NYJ both have had punts blocked.

steelers can't do anything on O  because they can't pick up the pass rush to save their life.

big ben should have been sacked about 15 times by now instead of 6.

Oh my.  22-7 with just over a quarter to go.

Is Polamalu playing at full strength?  I don't know what NFL.com considers "deep", but it seems like the Jags have tried a good number of deep passes.  Are they picking on someone or do they just do that sort of thing a lot?

and anthony smith gets toasted for another easy td .

jags rolling big  over tomlin and his squad of pathetic clueless losers.

all 3 jags tds have been easy   because the steelers secondary leaves people wide open.

pitiful coaching, pitiful execution, pitiful period.   just forfeit the remaining games and save us the embarassment of watching this *feces*ty team underperform again

he's at full.  he's the only player out there even making a couple of plays.   the jags are destroying anthony smith , and slightly less often,  de*feces* toastsend.

steelers can't scheme to overcome it

on the other side, jags get all kinds of qb pressure with just a 4 man rush

Question to Objective Scientist Aske:

Is the Jags offense playing that well, the Steelers defense that poorly, or some combination?

Same question for JAC defense/PIT offense?

Title: Re: Fire Mike Tomlin!
Post by: Clive on December 16, 2007, 12:24:38 PM
Because JAC is averaging over 5 yards per carry rushing.  That just doesn't sound like the PIT rush defense to me ... or is JAC just that good at running the ball?

Things are looking pretty bad in Baltimore too. After Billick gets a vote of confidence this past week, his team is about to allow Miami its first victory of the season.

jacksonville is manhandling the line of scrimmage on both sides

steelers safety anthony smith can't cover a wheelchair bound old lady, and they throw on him anytime he's actually in coverage instead of a zone.

steelers came out early in runrunpass and didn't do anything as usual, and now that they are behind the jags know they have to pass.   which is a win for the jags because their 4 man rush is enough to sack  big ben every other play.

bad bad bad coaching/game plan/motivation

disgraceful

half the stands have emptied out and rightfully so.

Wow! The Jets are giving the Pats a game at Gillette. What does this say about Pittsburgh?

Just as I say that they take away the Jets' TD. They get a holding call on the next play and now they're *fudge*ed.

steelers give up 3rd big run play on a simple draw.

they will lose at the clock, as they deserve.

And the Ravens are already down to the MIA 21 at 2nd-and-10 with just under a minute.

4th-and-goal at the 1, 0:12 left.

Fg to tie.  Can MIA snatch defeat from the jaws of victory in OT?

4th-and-goal at the 1, 0:12 left.

Bunch of *humid grottos*. They kicked the FG to tie instead of going for the win.

No *feces*, one quick pass for the win, then kick the FG.
