Early favorite: Danny Gokey from Milwaukee. Great voice and compelling story. His wife passed away 4 weeks before his audition.

Worked the last 2 nights, and missed both*. I've heard they've cut the train wrecks this year, so the enjoyment factor for me would be lessened.
