1  Golf / Golf Equipment Discussion / Re: anyone played apollo hump shafts? on: February 09, 2007, 06:39:30 PM
They are also played on the PGA.  I have not played them, but continue to hear positive feedback from those that do.  The common positive comment is that they will hold up very well for a variety of swing speeds.  Golfers who normally use an R shaft seem to be happy with them and golfers who may normally play an S shaft find that the R shaft holds up (meaning their timing is not thrown off) by this shaft even when they swing hard.

I am tempted to give them a try and probably will buy one for a test the next time I place an order with someone who handles them. From what I can see the best price on these is from Hireko.  But, for me Hireko is alway more expensive for shipping.  However, for a complete set the savings will more than offset shipping from the other suppliers I see selling them.

First post on this forum and it is a good place for it.  I bought a set with graphite shafts last fall for $67 off ebay new.  I found them to be an excellent club for the winter season.  The wide sole works very well on the wet fairways for me.

In the spring this year I went back and forth, but as the season progressed eventually moved back to my older set.  This winter I am again using the TFT, but have bought heads and shafts for a new set this spring - new heads are the M-05.  I plan to try graphite shafts in them, but have a set of Ti shafts as a backup if I don't like the graphite shafts ebayed.
