Title: Parity in the NBA Post by: gleek on March 01, 2008, 03:10:28 PM is non-existent.
Link (http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/standings?season=2008&group=conference&seasontype=2&standType=standings) With roughly 25 games remaining in the season, 33.5 wins separate Boston from Miami. The Celtics can theoretically clinch a playoff spot with 20 games remaining in the season. The disparity between the two conferences is getting ridiculous as well. Western Conference teams are collectively 202-151 (.571) vs. the Eastern Conference. The WC has 9 teams (out of 15) over .600 and 10 teams over .500.
