Title: Parity in the NBA
Post by: gleek on March 01, 2008, 03:10:28 PM
is non-existent.

With roughly 25 games remaining in the season, 33.5 wins separate Boston from Miami. The Celtics can theoretically clinch a playoff spot with 20 games remaining in the season.

The disparity between the two conferences is getting ridiculous as well. Western Conference teams are collectively 202-151 (.571) vs. the Eastern Conference. The WC has 9 teams (out of 15) over .600 and 10 teams over .500.

On any given night the T-Wolves and the Clippers can still beat the Jazz though.  :sad3:

I would say that I'd  rather trade that feat for a lottery pick, but history has clearly evidenced our ability to *fudge* up that proposition.

Good clarification. McHale may be a hall of fame player but he is a complete joke of a G.M.
