Unlikely. There are only two things I ever want to be doing at 4 a.m. and watching the moon turn orange ain't one of them.

I'll probably go outside and check it out.  That is if I can actually see it through the trees.  There is a good chance I'll be up around 5-6 am any ways due to my son.

I'm in SW Ohio, I'll be at work, most likely driving.  I'll try to make every opportunity to see what occurs.

Why do people get so excited about shadows that can't even do this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Ehhh1yhxeA)?

I'm going to go to church and pray that the dragon swallowing the moon spits it out. Or something.

Sleeping and drinking bourbon are mutually exclusive.  Unless you are talking about getting your penumbra on.   [sm_hump]

Probably not.  Any alarm clock that could wake me up would still wake everyone else up 10 minutes before me.*  I don't think I should wake everyone up just so I could watch.

*The only exception to that is my dad.  He's the perfect alarm clock.  Taps me on the shoulder, says time to get up, and I usually do.  Probably due to the fact that he always woke me up early to take me fishing and hunting when I was younger.

I slept through the night and missed it.

Yes, My wife and I set the alarm.  We let the dogs out in the middle of the night anyway.  It was great.  Awesome experience.

I got up at 3:30 to try and check it out, but there are too many trees around where I live.  :sad3:  So I just went back to bed.  Apparently the one coming up in Feb. will be at a better time.

I must say it was really cool watching the moon being eaten by the great dragon. ::)

Locally sunrise was too early to watch the regurgitation. ;)

Didn't bother trying to see it through the trees since our local news showed it.

My wife can't stand my alarm for the same reason.  It takes me 5-10 minutes to wake up, so she says, and it is a loud annoying alarm right next to the bed.

My father had to pull out all stops to get me up in the morning as a kid.  He pretty much resorted to walking into my room, turning on the lights and yanking all the covers off of me.  That worked most of the time.

Turning on the lights doesn't phase me, and for the most part neither does of the sheets and/or comforter.

A new alarm clock will usually wake me up right away for the first few days, but then it becomes part of the normal background noise of a busy house and no longer works.  I really don't want to get a new alarm clock every week...  Suppose after I get enough of them, I could put them on a rotation schedule.  That might work, but that would be pretty spendy.

Recently, Garrett has been coming in and sitting on my back.  That seems to work, too.

She wouldn't wake up if you lit a brick of firecrackers off in her room. :o And you think I'm kidding. [sm_rolling]

I was up at 4:00 this morning and didn't bother to look. Too busy sleepwalking through my morning routine.

My wife says 'orange' with only one syllable.  I can't do it.  I've tried.

[/threadjack]

So we just stayed in bed.
