Pursuant to alot of words, it's: a 60 day notice from the city to vacate my duplex! BOOOOO!!!! Seems we're not zoned for absentee landlords, and because the stoopid bitch upstairs has drawn the ire of the neighbors for what I can only assume is the LAST *goshdarn* TIME (I'm actually on good terms with everybody AFAIK) they bitched to the city about everything from the yard to the crazy. Oh, the BEST news: The landlord has known this was coming for at least 2 months. (There's a signed receipt and copy of their letter dated mid-November in the SHEAF of paperwork attached). So I'm thinking my plan is to just not pay the *goshdarn* rent for the 60 days, seeing as an illegal contract isn't actually enforceable. |
