Title: Digital picture frame query Post by: Fuzzy on December 18, 2008, 08:06:27 AM Anybody have one? If so, opinions please as far as what you like, don't like, etc.
I may be in the market for one. Title: Re: Digital picture frame query Post by: stroh on December 18, 2008, 08:12:57 AM I remember the great Clive's parents' digital picture frame present debate debacle of '07.
That's about all I'm good for. Title: Re: Digital picture frame query Post by: Clive on December 18, 2008, 08:50:39 AM We went with a Rosewill model. Image quality is pretty good. Parents like it. A year later, it still works. Score!
I can't find it online right now, though. Serving no purpose, going away. Title: Re: Digital picture frame query Post by: E-A-G-L-E! on December 18, 2008, 10:33:33 AM We bought my mom one (pandigital (http://www.pandigital.net/)) for Mother's Day in 2007. Mom still loves it, still works great. It was a bit finicky trying to use the internal memory. But that was only for a temporary set-up until my mom could find all the pics she wanted to put on a flash drive. It also accepts memory cards, but we don't have a card reader. Picture quality is as good as the pictures you use. Or it can play music if that's your wish. But not both simultaneously.

Virus attacks? Title: Re: Digital picture frame query Post by: dystopia on December 18, 2008, 12:31:21 PM We've been given two as gifts over the last few years, but never use them. Not sure why. Laziness probably. Virus attacks? Not really worried about included viruses. We take a lot of pictures, but don't really display them around the house in digital or other frames. We left it on all the time. after a couple of months, one of the colors stopped working. I took it back and they gave me another one. After a few months, it did the same thing and we trashed it.
I've been think about trying again this Christmas, but I guess we won't leave it on all the time. But if you can't I'm not sure of the point. |
