Post by: dystopia on March 19, 2007, 10:33:29 AM
Here's an interesting list from GQ.  Anyone tried any on the list?  Was it that good?

Some would argue, 20 hamurgers to eat...then you die.

I am not one, however;  and I have not had the pleasure of any of those offerings.

Been to the White Manna in Hackensack several times. If you've ever had a White Castle you get the idea of their small burgers. But much tastier. I never thought it was so good that anyone would consider it one of the best in America though. There are a couple of places herer in Houston alone that I'd consider better than White Manna.  [sm_dontknow]

Me too. ;D

But, and I'll get hammered for this, every now and then a McD's 1/4 pounder is the money.

I've had # 17 Red Mill Burger, Seattle.  The guy clearly rates his burgers by "the burger joint nearest to the dealer with the best crack".

I guess there is no good beef burgers in Kansas, Iowa, Nebraska, I guess you have the go to the major metropolitan cities of the east or west coast.

BTW, Red Mill Burgers = yuppie hype with a side order of donkey balls.

Dude, that place doesn't even make the top 10 list here, which makes the rest of the list HIGHLY suspect...

Latona, D!ck's  (a MUST stop after a hockey game), McOrmick's (you want yuppie scum?), Burgermaster, one of the last standing Herfy's (about a mile away from me   ;D) all rank above that *goshdarn* joint...

The best in the area according to a couple of guys who spent a year doing the research is at The Root Beer drive in in Issaquah. I cannot vouch for that, but after having seen the pics of those 2 dudes in the newspaper, I believe 'em...

Unfortunately, this is just another writer getting paid to fill space with nonsense. Good hamburgers are way too important to be left to flakey writers to flog.
