Title: So much for office kitchen rules...
Post by: twoiron on May 19, 2009, 06:51:19 PM
An office worker cleaning a fridge full of rotten food created a smell so noxious that it sent seven co-workers to hospital and made many others ill. Firefighters evacuated the AT&T building in San Jose after the fumes led someone to call emergency services. A hazardous materials team was called in.

lol  I've seen some bad workplace refrigerators.  People seemed to be accountable for their own stuff, but the leftover food from company lunches would stay in their for weeks/months.  Then it almost became a game of who would blink first and clean it out.

I cleaned out the biochem department fridge once, in anticipation of an upcoming annual event.  There was a bowl of what I suppose might have been diced cheeses, but it had evolved into something that would look entirely at home hanging from a rear-view mirror.

Ah.  Inspiration for the Chia Beard worn in later years, no doubt.
