I watched the beginning of that game.

The new rule is a f'ing joke. Fat ass, old man umpire = no chance to run hurry up offense.

It was embarrassing and Manning is absolutely correct.

Apparently teh Queens are experimenting with what they're calling the "muddle".  Half huddle, half no-huddle.

I see fail written all over it.

so is it a rule problem, or an official problem

I personally like that QBs will have less people to run picks off of.

This. Of course it will help teams that have doddering fragile old QB's. I'm looking at you Seattle and Minnesota.

Tom-a-to, tom-ah-to....new rule puts slow officials in the way.

It was a joke.

so what do you think of the ballcarrier dead when helmetless rule ?

I see this actually backfiring.

a guy is getting gangtackled, and still gaining forward progress?  stop it by jacking his helmet.

^ Agreed.

I chuckle at these new rules for "safety" but the owners want two more regular season games. I almost can't wait for the 18 game season when a playoff team has 10 guys on IR and another clinches with 4 games to go and doesn't play starters regularly for a month.
