So there is no real clear cut leader. What does that say about the candidates? They all suck the same?

Well, 47 to 43 would be a greater margin of victory than Chimpy was able to manage in 2004. It's interesting that people predict a McCain victory if Clinton wins the nomination because of her "divisiveness". Yet the polls don't seem to indicate that.

i look at this 2 ways:

by the time election rolls around and 87 octane gas is $4.19, bread is $4.00 for plain bleached white loaf,  milk is $5.29 a gallon ,  and the latest wave of CEO  parachute scandals hit the 'waves' while unemployment is  7-8%,      95% + of unaffiliated/swing voters and probably even 10% of the 'core'  right wing  will vote for whatever the dems put forth. change will be all these people are concerned with

on the other hand,  the neocon radio might actually encourage people to go vote dem anyways.  the next 4 years are gonna suck so bad that whoever wins in 2008 is gonna get reamed in 2012.

Either or both of these scenarios may come to pass, but there are some interesting dynamics going on in the current poll.

That tells me I should shift some of my investments into the posterior lubrication market.
