That's an interesting business plan:  limit his product/output so that each unit earns a bit more cache, and becomes more valuable.

I presume this is a plan he's learning/applying towards is collection of major championships.  I guess he must figure each new victory in a major diminishes the one before it, so why bother winning at all?
