I'm sitting here in my room getting waiting for some colleagues to go out for dinner and I'm watching some high level, kick ass table tennis match on a channel called "J Sports ESPN". I can't understand the announcers but it's intense.   ;D

Why can't you watch YouTube videos?  Yet you can see the image?

Yes, I get the picture, with the press play button, but that is all, the video wont play.

I think you've got something blocked in your settings.  If you can see the image, it should play.

I don't think it has anything to do with your dial up, or being in Australia.  Possibly female, but I think you have some flash streams blocked in your options.

Okay, we have a few internet genius's here, what do I do to fix it.
I go into settings and......................................

What operating system are you using?
What browser are you using?
What extensions are you using?

I use aol, and I use their screen, not internet explorer.

A 5 minute youtube video can take 30+ minutes to load on a slow dial-up connection.

Does it work the same for you?  e.g. You get the picture of the embed, but nothing happens when you press play?  Do you just wait for it?

And seems even longer when it's five minutes of Vikings Super Bowl highlights.    :o

That sounds like man inches.  :D

We get a really good connection as far as dial-up is concerned, average 48 kbps, but yeah after you click "play" the first several seconds can take 15-30 seconds before you see anything. And on slower dial-up connections it takes a whole lot longer...

High speed isn't available here unless we go cable, and that is out of our budget. :)

You should be able to find a job that pays the $50 per month that it would cost. [sm_devil]

I've turned down a few job offers, care giving 24/7 for our Grandma who has Alzheimer's Disease, and helping with a little sister, (not Nat ;)) and little brother, doesn't let it work out, for now at least. :)
