Title: Non-U.S. ESPN sports programming Post by: Fuzzy on December 06, 2007, 12:43:58 AM I'm sitting here in my room getting waiting for some colleagues to go out for dinner and I'm watching some high level, kick ass table tennis match on a channel called "J Sports ESPN". I can't understand the announcers but it's intense. ;D

There are only 3 sovereign nations beginning with the letter J. ;D Title: Re: Non-U.S. ESPN sports programming Post by: Jules on December 06, 2007, 12:30:54 PM Ah, so right now Fuzzy is getting drunk at a karoke bar. 8)

Title: Re: Non-U.S. ESPN sports programming Post by: stroh on December 06, 2007, 12:43:01 PM I think you've got something blocked in your settings. If you can see the image, it should play.
I don't think it has anything to do with your dial up, or being in Australia. Possibly female, but I think you have some flash streams blocked in your options. Title: Re: Non-U.S. ESPN sports programming Post by: Jules on December 06, 2007, 12:45:05 PM Okay, we have a few internet genius's here, what do I do to fix it.

I use aol, and I use their screen, not internet explorer. Title: Re: Non-U.S. ESPN sports programming Post by: Clive on December 06, 2007, 01:51:37 PM Press ALT and, at the same time, F4.

Title: Re: Non-U.S. ESPN sports programming Post by: Fuzzy on December 06, 2007, 02:21:42 PM So Fuzzy, what city/country are you in this time. 8) I'm in Tokyo right now. I was in Seoul earlier in the week. I'm flying back today (Friday). I was looking for you on the board last night - I was all alone in here. ;) 8) Title: Re: Non-U.S. ESPN sports programming Post by: Fuzzy on December 06, 2007, 02:24:37 PM Ah, so right now Fuzzy is getting drunk at a karoke bar. 8) I wonder what song he is singing. ;D ;D No singing this trip. I was pretty well behaved. :) Title: Re: Non-U.S. ESPN sports programming Post by: Torpedo on December 06, 2007, 03:57:53 PM I don't think it has anything to do with your dial up, or being in Australia. A 5 minute youtube video can take 30+ minutes to load on a slow dial-up connection. Title: Re: Non-U.S. ESPN sports programming Post by: stroh on December 06, 2007, 04:01:08 PM I don't think it has anything to do with your dial up, or being in Australia. A 5 minute youtube video can take 30+ minutes to load on a slow dial-up connection. Does it work the same for you? e.g. You get the picture of the embed, but nothing happens when you press play? Do you just wait for it? Title: Re: Non-U.S. ESPN sports programming Post by: Uisce Beatha on December 06, 2007, 04:01:40 PM I don't think it has anything to do with your dial up, or being in Australia. And seems even longer when it's five minutes of Vikings Super Bowl highlights. :o Title: Re: Non-U.S. ESPN sports programming Post by: stroh on December 06, 2007, 04:05:39 PM [sm_rolling] 5 minutes!
That sounds like man inches. :D Title: Re: Non-U.S. ESPN sports programming Post by: Torpedo on December 06, 2007, 05:16:43 PM Does it work the same for you? e.g. You get the picture of the embed, but nothing happens when you press play? Do you just wait for it? We get a really good connection as far as dial-up is concerned, average 48 kbps, but yeah after you click "play" the first several seconds can take 15-30 seconds before you see anything. And on slower dial-up connections it takes a whole lot longer... Title: Re: Non-U.S. ESPN sports programming Post by: Aske on December 06, 2007, 05:20:03 PM LOL, dial up
Title: Re: Non-U.S. ESPN sports programming Post by: Torpedo on December 06, 2007, 05:23:15 PM LOL, dial up High speed isn't available here unless we go cable, and that is out of our budget. :) Title: Re: Non-U.S. ESPN sports programming Post by: gleek on December 06, 2007, 05:26:14 PM LOL, dial up High speed isn't available here unless we go cable, and that is out of our budget. :) You should be able to find a job that pays the $50 per month that it would cost. [sm_devil] I've turned down a few job offers, care giving 24/7 for our Grandma who has Alzheimer's Disease, and helping with a little sister, (not Nat ;)) and little brother, doesn't let it work out, for now at least. :) Title: Re: Non-U.S. ESPN sports programming Post by: stroh on December 06, 2007, 06:08:48 PM (http://www.artandeth.com/Gallery2/ActorsB/21370-18163.gif)
