Title: Firefox 2 and IE7 Post by: dystopia on October 26, 2006, 01:44:11 PM I'm downloading both of these browsers now to my secondary machine to do some testing.
Has anyone had any good or bad experiences with either of them (extensions not working or sites behaving oddly)? I'm sticking with IE6 until they shake out some bugs.

I've been sticking with Netscape mostly for the better tabbing, but I could be convinced to switch. It looks like they've fixed my big complaint -- they put 'close window' buttons on each tab individually. Awesome!

Title: Re: Firefox 2 and IE7 Post by: worst_golfer_ever on October 29, 2006, 03:35:45 PM I used Firefox before, so the usual Firefox problems still occur with Firefox 2 -- mainly that some sites don't recognize Firefox. There are fewer and fewer of those, but you gotta keep a backup browser around for those.
They improved the tab browsing, and I was really impressed with the Flash plug-in download. Maybe I haven't installed a plug-in in a while or something, but it was super smooth. I went to a page that happened to have Flash, so it showed me a link to install the plug-in. I clicked it, and it downloaded and installed and played the Flash with no other input from me, and without me having to close down and re-open my browser. Nice.
