We had everything down by the middle of last week. I love Christmas and all, but once it's done, I want to be done with it.

I didn't get anything I could have used for Christmas.  The next day, my wife returned a sweater that I paid over $200 to buy.  I have NO idea what she did with the money :sad3:.  The one present I got my oldest daughter hasn't been moved from the table she placed it on after she unwrapped it.  I guess she doesn't need it.

If it wasn't for the fact that Christmas is the day Jesus came into the world to save it and all of our souls, I'd say it was the most useless holiday of them all.

Accomplished it on the 26th -- not a sign of Christmas except for the occasional game or stuffed animal left on the floor.

Actually, December 25 is an arbitrarily chosen day to represent Jesus' birthday. So it's most likely NOT the day he came into the world.

That being said, what is the present that your oldest daughter can't use?  Maybe it's something I want. :D

By the way, welcome to the forum.  Don't mind the resident critics. This is all just an exercise in building self esteem, and ripping others is a great way to do that.

In that vein, you all suck.

Man, I feel great!!

I keep everything up until Epiphany/12th Night - then it's gone, gone, gone!

I really like all the lights up on the houses, though, and I'll miss them.  Good thing there are lots of Diwali celebrators in my town, so we get to see multi-colored lights from mid-October until January!   :)
