Title: Good hole today Post by: Spanky on June 06, 2007, 02:32:11 PM Got to play today. Played alright, I played better then my 98 score says. I had 6 holes that had penalties (two of them had 2). Bad swings, bad shots. Never the less I still managed 6 pars and a birdie. My best hole was a par 5 473 yards. The hole was playing with the wind. Tee shot was about 280 off in the right rough. Second shot hit a hybrid about 195 on to the green. Left me with an 80 foot put for eagle. I lagged it up to about 6 feet. Then I proceeded to 2 putt for par. I was very happy with this as I pulled off 3 very good shots. In fact the second shot went to the fat part of the green as I wanted.
Overall the day was pretty good (other then those 6 holes). Unfortunately the 2 double penalty holes were on the front nine and this was my Rider Cup round. Oh well such is life. I had a couple other good holes. I just realized I had 2 birdies. I had a chip in birdie on another par 5. A legit birdie on a par3. Put a third shot on a par4 from 100 out to 3 feet, 1 putt for par. Like I said I feel I played very well, better then usual. If the bugs weren't bitting so bad I'd want to go out tomorrow. |
