Title: Best "Ball Striking" Round Ever. Post by: stroh on May 21, 2007, 05:30:31 PM Played Sunday. I have been really working on some things, not the least of which, some mechanics, from Aske, and Clive.
All kind of came together Sunday. Hit the ball really well. Was hitting 2, to 3 clubs more, and nailing them. Wait. Let me back up. Sunday was really crappy. Temp.s in the 50's [sm_disgust](see other thread) A good 1 to 1 and a 1/2 club wind. Sometimes a full 2 club wind. I took extra club, played a little back in the stance, and tried a half-swing.but more of a feeling of driving through the shot. I hit a much low :airquotes: er :airquotes: shot than I ever have, and was on greens, I have not been able to hit before. The guy I was playing with even said "I've never seen you hit the ball like this before". [riding around on my club, Happy Gilmore horsey style, smackin' my ass: smiley] Oh, yeah. Who's your daddy? [sm_hump] [Edit] I felt like I was swinging/striking just like McPhilson. Throwing the clubhead at the target, and getting the right forearm rolled over the left. Finishing low. I even hit 3 full 100 yard wedge shots, past the hole........which I never do! [sm_shock] [sm_anon] Still got a way to go. Just wanted to brag. Title: Re: Best "Ball Striking" Round Ever.
