Title: Honduran referee
Post by: Uisce Beatha on September 07, 2009, 11:51:38 AM
A bit after the fact and I know most of you were watching the zoobies v. OU but any takes on the US/El Salvador match the other night?  Specifically, the worst call I've seen since, well, two weeks ago when that one Gooner/Brazilian/Croatian/Gob*feces*e nailed a 9.9 in front of the Celtic goal.   [sm_devil]

U.S. play 11 v. 12-14 every time they cleat up in the western hemisphere.  It's pathetic.

Didn't get a chance to see it. I did watch the replay of Brazil-Argentina last night.

Maradona looked medicated. And hungry - every shot of him he had his fingers in his mouth chewing his nails.

That is all. Well that and it will be a shame if Messi isn't playing in the World Cup next year which is now more of a possibility than ever.

I told anyone who would listen Maradona would be a massive failure.  Dude can't even manage himself never mind a national team with two dozen world class egos.

The disappointment of Messi missing the WC will be offset by the wonderfulness of Ronaldo doing the same.

I think they're so damned afraid to be accused of showing any US bias that they fail magnificently in the other direction.  Something really needs to be done, but until we miss a World Cup based upon this *feces* nothing will ever be said to the refs.  Its crap and everyone knows it, but because we're hated its apparently ok.  Kinda like all the Argentinians that think the Hand of God was ok because it was against England.

And the Gooner/gob*feces*e only scores a 9.3 in my book.  The 9.9 was Rooney the other day, throwing his arms up looking for a call after tugging the other guys jersey.  HTFU Wayne, its a friendly!  [sm_devil]

And of course Maradona was going to be a failure.  Not only is he an idiot, but what star that made his living on natural talent has ever made a good coach?  Good coaches come from players that had to work hard and use their heads to succeed - we know Maradona never did either.

Pre match - Honduras second in qualifying group with GD=4, USA third with GD=3
Post match - Honduras top of qualifying group with GD=7, USA second with GD=4.
USA play Honduras a month from now.
Honduran center ref assigned to match.

Yes, that is magnificent.   [sm_cussing]
