Title: A Day In The Life (this is pretty lame)
Post by: stroh on November 22, 2007, 07:03:42 AM
[Disclaimer]  This didn't turn out nearly as cool as I thought it would.  Basically just pictures of what I look at each day.  Pretty boring ass *feces*.  I didn't have anyone following me around so no pictures of me.  I don't photograph nearly as well as a Blader.  I thought about a hallway shot with a hooded sweatshirt, but with the cool goatee, it would have come off as more of a "doofus teenage Anikin" only even less cool.

Ow well.  Here we go.

Wednesday November the 21st.  I work a 12 hour shift today. 9 to 9.  Or more accurately 09:07a to 08:53p.  That's just how I roll.

My day starts about 7 am, rolling out of bed.  Typically going back and forth between wondering if there are things I should regret from the day before, and wondering what I'm supposed to be responsible for in the day ahead, and how if at all, I *fudge* it up.  Today's easy.  Turkey day eve, I'm clear.

This is the first place I go, out of bed.  I'm a big coffee drinker.  I have a pretty set hydration schedule, and follow it religiously.  Coffee 'til noon.  Water 'til I get home.  Beer 'til bed.

After the coffee, it's downstairs to pull up Hos.  See what I've missed from the night before, and or feel ashamed about posting.  Check email, and maybe even the news or weather, if I'm bored.  Some free 20 second pr0n videos until I get that up and running in the car.

Next, I'll sometimes go out and see what's on tv, if I have time.  This is my non HD setup.  Works for me.  The Queens uniforms show up purple, which is all a guy can ask for I guess.

Headed upstairs, I walk by the window to see what the world outside looks like.  This is my view out the back.  Would be a good day to play golf.  Wish I could.  Oh well, maybe next year.

Aw, *fudge*.  How'd it get so late?  I gotta get movin'  Into the shower.

Tasteful file photo:

While I didn't take any self portraits, as to keep this clean, for the sick *fudge*s out there determined to see some bath type smut, I will include a picture of me in a shower cap.  Enjoy.  You've been warned.

All right, let's put this thing together.  Let's see, wet towel goes on the floor.  Keep tripping of the pile of clothes from 3 days past.  Someone should  pick that *feces* up.  It's grooming time!
My junk smells good.

"As I put on my makeup......I'm wonderin' what clothes to wear....." What do you think?  The black, or the black?  Actually it ain't that bad.  Makes it an easy choice, kind gotta  Seth Brundle vibe goin' on.

Well, with all this pissin' around, I'm late now.  Grab my coffee to go, and head out to jump in my familiar red oldsmobuick.  Hey, there's my clubs.  I should play golf.  Hmmmmmmmm can't.  I think I went through this already.

Here's a pic. of De Case Del stroh!

Pretty much a 30 minute drive to work.  *fudge*in' construction everywhere.  PITA.  Gas gas brake.  Gas honk punch.

Allright.  Here we are at work.  This is where I spend my days.  Saving lives.  Imagine E.R. crossed with House.  Very much like that, only not really.(sorry, Blader)  If you look, it really does remind you of the bridge on the Starship Enterprise.  That's how I get through it anyway.

Here's my scanner.  It's a Siemens Symphony 1.5 Tesla clinical MRI scanner.  Cool toy.  A lot of people freak out when I put them in there.  I calm them by saying something like "Just climb you're dumb ass in the *fudge*in' tube, you whinny ass *fudge*.  I ain't got all damn day.  You *fudge*in' girl.  Man up Nancy."
I'm good with people that way.  At work they call me The Great Communicator.

When I'm not scanning, or even if I am, and have lost interest in the patient's welfare, I slide over here.  This is where I get all my GolfHos stuff done.  See the mystique has been cleared.  No big man behind the curtain, just me bangin' out posting excellence, day in, and day out.

If you've made it this far, here is a glimpse at what I actually do.  This is what I see all day.  Well, not just brains, but shoulders, knees, lumbar spines, pretty much every part of the body.  Yeah, even cooters, but I act grown up for those.
This is a typical brain sequence.  For those interested, the sequences are :
      Sagital T1             Axial Fat SatT2
      Axial T2 FLAIR        Coronal T2
(http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f60/golfstroh/Picture1076.jpg)

Well, it's been a long day.  'Bout time to wrap 'er up here.  I'm the last one out of the building, and walk out to this.  Cold as *feces* too.

Back home.  Typically just come in, check on the family, head downstairs, pull up Hos, and grab a drink.  Last night was really no different, so I didn't even bother to take a new picture.  They all look the same, so I'll just post this one again.  Actually I left the camera up in the car, and I'm too lazy to go get it.  But seriously, this is what it looks like most nights.  Minus the Colorado Bulldog.  That was for 'panky.

That about sums it up.  There are days I do more exiting *feces*, and many more days that I do not, but you get a pretty good idea of what it's like to ride shotgun with stroh for a day.  I'm sure you feel dumber for it. I know I do.

Thanks for taking the ride.

Was that an MRI of Marty Feldmen? You don't have to answer that, I've seen my own and know all eyes come back like that.

Brave man showing your life like that. I would do the same but it would probably be about the same, only instead of yelling at patients I yell at my guys and the idiot operators that run the equipment.

Oh, I was way to *fudge*in' tired to do it last night, if that's what you mean.  Or was it a compliment?

Looks like it snowed during the day?  Are you guys having a white Thanksgiving?

I feel about as enriched and invigorated as a Stroh pictorial (or perhaps, a Stroh golf hole description) can leave a man.

Time for a nap.

Nice work cheif... :)

Maybe I'm a bit slow, but maybe it'd be nice if everyone (mostly) posted a "day in their life" pic??

If I posted a day in the life of me, you'd basically be seeing pics of the kitchen stove, toaster, and toaster oven, with a few of the laptop thrown in.

The Queens uniforms show up purple, which is all a guy can ask for I guess.

The Vikings uniforms always show up as light blue on our TV with the default color settings so I had to tweak it manually for them to be purple. ;D

Oh, upon further thought, I might even be able to take a pic of Super Tux loading for Garrett and Chelsea.  However, I am still undecided if I shall be putting together a day in the life of me.

Limited interwebs access, lack of knowledge/desire to learn how to post photo's, equals.  No day in the life of the fat bald one.  Of course, I could write it out for ya'll.

On second thought naaaahhhh!  Who could possibly be interested in the life of a truck driver.  Stoopid *fudge*ers driving cars, steel mills, lumber yards, lazy *fudge*ers using cranes to load and unload.

*feces*, I spent 5 1/2 hours in a line at a steel plant in Marsailles IL just waiting to get loaded.  Talk about boring/frustrating.

Thanks.  I did think about that, and will pull it down.  I'm not good enough to nipple pixelize it like Clive.
