Not on your life. As long as Darla is looking I'm not biting.

Well maybe later.

I had an ex give me a drunk/booty call one night a few years ago - I turned her down trying to prove a point (that I was not wrapped around her finger - but who was I really kidding).  I clearly should have shagged her rotten and would love to have that night back.

And then there's that night in college when I clearly shouldn't have.

And then all the times I failed to overcome my shyness to ask a woman out - I'd like all those moments back.

Oh - wait - that's all about ****.  I suppose you were looking for deep meaningful *feces*.  I fail.

I lied one time that I'd take back.

Other than that, I live my life looking forward, not back.  I don't mind assessing recent experiences to learn from them, but then I move on.  Maybe that's not for everyone, but I'm not plagued with regrets, what-ifs and the like.

Wait, I wish I hadn't replied to this thread.  That's 2.

Ok, here goes.

First would be telling Marci in HS that I didn't want to have anything with the baby. Looking back maybe I should have been more supportive. Hell he/she is around 22 by now.

Second would be agreeing to those "experiments" with the lower level watch on the sub. While he "opened some doors" for me, I was too young to truly understand the emotional scars they would leave.

Third is buying that *goshdarn* Suburban.

I don't do the shoulda-woulda-coulda routine.

Been married almost 33 years and we're still buddies.

Got two adult sons (and one daughter-in-law) that I consider my best friends.

Still healthy.

On the cusp (hopefully) of retirement.

I'm content. ;D

A 22 something or another I think not... If you do, well that is for another thread....  ::)

Does it have to be during this life time or can it relate to any of your previous existances??

OMG!!!

There is little I've done that I don't regret.  I'm acutely aware of the alternatives to the choices I've made, going back at least to the age of 12, if not earlier.  They haunt me.

It is, in fact, remarkable that I'm not a completely indecisive emotional cripple.

I think.

I could be wrong about that.

Wow!  12 huh?  Impressive!   [sm_naughty]

Although I guess I can't say I'm surprised.   I mean B.I.I. being what it is and all.

Meh.  I sent him a PM once to take him to Sizzler.  My treat.  Never got a response.  His loss.

I kinda wanted to see GolfHos member Larry Craig's submission to this thread.

You've seen enough of the Trek to know that if you take back or change those three things (or even one), then you will have changed the now. For the most part I kinda like the now, even though the getting here had it's moments, I still like the space I occupy.

1 I wouldn't have put on a bunch of weight to play football prior to jr high.

2 I would have applied myself more in high school.  I did enough work to pass with less than stellar grades.  I proved myself after getting out of the USAF that I can do it, as I was on the Dean's list every term.

3 When my dad told me I had one shot to go to college on his dime, I would have gone to the Univ of North Dakota in the aviation program and become a pilot.  Instead I became a welder.  I thought I'd get a good job in the oil patch during the oil boom of the late 70's - early 80's.  I really blew that one.  :sad3:

I would have finished college then instead of now! Could of, should of, would of! Can't change the past, can only teach my kids that it is easier to finish school while you are younger than when you have kids of your own.

That's pretty much my view.  If I change things in the past (working harder in school, sticking with track in 7th grade), I'd never have met my wife and I wouldn't have this life.

No trade, thanks.

Kidding aside I lean this way too. I am very happy right now. There are small choices I could have changed but major life decisions I wouldn't change at all. I have a wonderful family, great friends, a good job. And in less then 3 weeks I'll be playing golf with a bunch of you at a great course. How can I complain.

Don't feel so bad.  Edumacation is over rated.  Look at how far Bible Spice climbed without one.

There are a lot of investment bankers with MBA's standing in lines these days

In all seriousness, my life is actually kind of a mess right now. I've spent a lot of time lately thinking of things I might have changed if I had the chance. The thing is, I'm not convinced had I done things differently, my life would be any less of a mess.

Well then you would make a pretty *feces*ty George Bailey.

I would have dumped all my stocks about 8.9 years ago and paid off the house :D, sold the house 2 years ago, and converted the proceeds to Euros. Other than that, I wouldn't change a thing. ;D
