Otherwise they'll go right back to eating what they always ate, although perhaps with more vigor since they've been eating bugs in a field for a month.

I didn't think there were any 'true' aboriginal tribes left in Australia that lived totally off the land, and if there are any here I suspect that they eat a lot better than bugs and plants. By the same token, I'd love to watch a fat kid try and wrangle a goanna for dinner. My money would be on the goanna every time.
