Now more than ever, I'm trying to spend money with local businesses and not the big-boxes.  I know it means the big players' stock prices drop if everyone were to do that, but ...

I think everyone here is acutely aware that the things you purchase can only be found offered by small retailers.  Well, save the ones online.

That thought has crossed my mind. The local stores only have to support the local area. The big box stores need to cover all the stores, home office, supply houses/warehouses, truck fleet, etc... Seems to me Main Street USA with the general store and other small store may be the future? What's old is new again?

Except my retirement funds are supported by those Big-Boxes.
