Title: Up Post by: gleek on May 31, 2009, 12:39:53 PM Took my daughter yesterday to the 3-D showing. Another winner from Pixar. It moves up nearly to the top of my favorite Pixar movies.

I didn't like Finding Nemo mainly because the sounds were annoying. I liked Cars and my son loves it. It is pretty much his Dark Side of the Moon right now. He didn't really get Toy Story or Ratatouille enough to hold his attention. I remember watching Monsters Inc on an intercontinental flight. It seemed decent. I think that is the next one he'll watch. Pixar makes some good stuff if you have to watch something with the kids.

Cars Without having seen Up, the list above is exactly how I would rank them. Maybe bump Nemo down a pinch for the annoying Dorey whale speak. I look forward to seeing Up. gleek, how was the 3D? I have to admit though that I appreciated the effects far more at the beginning than toward the end. Toward the beginning I was really taken in by the visuals, but as I became engrossed in the story and the action picked up, I almost forgot about the 3-D effects and sort of took it for granted.

Toy Story 1995 Bugs Life, A 1998 Toy Story 2 1999 Monsters, Inc 2001 Finding Nemo 2003 Incredibles, The 2004 Cars 2006 Ratatouille 2007 Wall E 2008 Up 2009 Damn, I can only remember going to a movie theater twice since The Incredibles.
