shouldnt the shudder be around minnesota?

he will gobble up their 3rd rate cornerbacks and 30th rated pass defense like candy, especially if brett heave-and-hope favre is in there throwing the jump balls.

Even though Moss was always getting in trouble and you never knew until the end of the game if he was gonna play or just fill a spot on the field, I think that was one of our worst trades ever. :(

Honestly, as a Packers fan, rather than finding controversial and problematic receivers to whom Favre can complete passes I'd prefer to see them thank Favre for his years of service, give him a gold watch or whatever, and bring in a new arm.

Man, I'd have to eat a lot crow if he becomes a Packer. (which he may already be NTTAWWT)  I have some friends who are vikings, my brother is a raider fan, and I talked loads of *feces* about R. Moss.

You're not alone [sm_devil] I have a number of Packer fans I know that will be in for a ration of *feces* from me the first time they speak positively of Mr. Moss. ;D

And Aske's right, Favre-Moss has a chance to destroy MN. Plus, Moss was always scary when motivated, i.e. national TV, playing the Cowboys after they passed over him in the draft. I imagine he'll be a bit pumped to run around the Metrodome.

Blasphemy.  Though Favre's best years have LONG since passed, I believe Aaron Rodgers can only benefit from another year of tutelage with the master.

If sources are to be believed, Aaron Rogers is on his way to Oakland in exchange for Moss. The Pack have given up a few opportunities to bring a young QB up under the tutelage of a wise and battle hardened veteran (ala Steve Young/ Joe Montana) in exchange for letting Favre play as long as he wishes.

Though my response was tounge-in-cheek, it would have helped to actually read the article in question. [sm_hide]

The last thing Brett Favre needs is another reason to throw even more balls up for grabs. JMHO.

If he goes to GB, the first order of business should be making him clean and disinfect the goal post pad that he wiped his bum on while a member of the Vikes.

That said, I just don't see Moss and GB as a match made in heaven.  Moss is a free spirit, to say the least.  I get the impression that the Packers orgaization likes order and discipline.

Clearly the Packers needed a "go-to" receiver last year.  Moss fits that, but will it be worth it?  If the trade is made, I guess we'll find out.

I wonder if Favre will be able to straighten him out.

As a life long Packers fan, I am truthfully torn.  Do I think Moss would help, *fudge* yeah.  Do I want Moss...*fudge* No.  Do I want Brett Favre to return to 1997..*fudge* Yes.

I worship 2 things in my life, my "67" Carl Yastrzemski card and my Brett Favre Fathead. I really don't want to see Favre retire.

But, if the success of the Packers comes from Randy Moss, I'd rather endure another losing season.
