Microsoft probably has little to stand on.  Many of the 'patents' would likely be revoked as invalid under review.  But thats not to say all of them would.

'open source' needs a better front man than Stallman.  His ego will end up doing more harm than good.

Like Microsoft never violated a patent  ::)
