Is it true that ERIN CROCKER will be running the yellow 59 car in the future including Knoxville Nationals with Mike Woodring running the team?

Regretfully Tom & Sherrys 59 team and Lee Jacobs have parted ways. It was DEFINITLY not due to Lee's ability, it was due to other factors. Lee is a very talented driver and one of the most sincere people we have ever been involved with. We wish him and Andy Potter much success and will miss their company and racing with them.  Tom & Sherry Leidig

The sad thing is I'm hearing this for the first time from Tom and Sherry.

Nice.

I remember Randy Hannagan hearing he was fired during a WoO broadcast, live and on the air from the reporter giving the post race interview, but this sucks even more.

Didn't you see Sportscenter last night?

They've got the camera on Adam LaRoche, wandering around in the dugout.

TV knows he is traded, but apparently he doesn't know.

Finally, manager comes up and Adam follows him out of the dugout, to the locker room.

The Greeks invented this and called it "irony" which, roughly translated, means "You are apparently the only one in the entire theater who doesn't know you are banging your own mom."

LOL, I was going to post about the incestuous nature of regional short track racing, but you beat me to it!

Most pit areas seem to have family trees with very few branches. The crew chief is married to the car owners sister, and the driver is the track owners nephew, that sort of thing.

Then there's the ****ual politics. At least one well known Knoxville Nationals winner was caught en flagrante' with a certain King Of California's wife several years ago, and the youngest son of said king bears more than a passing resemblance to said Nationals winner.  :o

Anyway, the drama is always at least as much fun as the racing!

Your irony point is spot on:

In this case, it seems that young Lee Jacobs, scion of one of Ohio's greatest racing families, knew at the first of the year that Ms. Crocker would be taking over his seat for most August, and Lee's father Kenny 'The Mouse' Jacobs appears to have known late last week that Lee was through, as did the crew chief.

Hey, at least they didn't just dump his helmet bag and racing seat in the pits and tear ass out of there, stranding him several hundred miles from home.

And yeah, that has happened to a few guys, LOL.
