Title: I Hope I Don't Kill Nobody. Post by: stroh on January 27, 2007, 06:37:00 AM I'm coming in to work this morning. I come up to the back door, and I'm holding my key fob up to that tall skinny deal for putting cigarette butts in; wondering why the door hasn't beeped and opened. I realize, and say 'dude, pull it together.' The cig. thing isn't even on the same side of the door, as the keypad.
Next I go in to make coffee. We have a Bunn. I pull out the deal, dump yesterdays grounds. New filter. 2 full scoops! (damn weekday weak ass tea drinkin' *fudge*ers. I want cowboy coffee!) Throw the dealie back in. Grab the pitcher, fill it to the line, pour it in, and walk away. I come back, grap the pot, and think 'whoa I guess I put too much water in.' Then I see coffee all over the counter. I know I didn't overfill the thing, I went to "the line". WTF? :bricks: Ooops. Forgot one step. Empty the pot of yesterdays coffee. Waiting on the next....... er, mishap. Boy, these patients are a trusting bunch. ;) I'll keep you posted. ;D Title: Re: I Hope I Don't Kill Nobody. One time in college during an intense finals week, I tried to make a pot of coffee and completely forgot to put the carafe back in. My roommates came home and found coffee all over the counter and kitchen floor and me asleep at the books. :-[

So I put my all-black mug on the little tray, press the right buttons in the right sequence, and pick up my two Coffee Mate creamers dealies in anticipation of the freshly-brewed, over-roasted caffeine.
I drop one of the Coffee Mates. I step back to clear the area under myself. I step on the Coffee Mate. While I'm distracted by all that, I fail to watch the coffee being brewed/poured like I normally do (I'm usually quivering and chanting, "come on, come on, come on, ..."). Turns out I put the mug on the little tray upside-down. Yeah, the evening's shaping up to be a hit. Title: Re: I Hope I Don't Kill Nobody.
