Title: Interesting Job Opening @ Google

Not part of the skillset that you'd expect at a Internet solutions company.

This is what happens when a couple of idealists create a company that's now worth 5 times the value of GM and Ford combined.

"Strong technical foundation (B.S. degree in engineering, M.S. or Ph.D. preferred), with at least 10 years of experience"

if only that line weren't on there ...

I've never let that line dissuade me from applying. I've gotten two jobs where I didn't have the "required" number of years of experience

Go for it. All they can say is no. And if you do get an interview that's where the number of years of experience required can become not so meaningful. And you'd be working for a very good company. :)

You have something close to a quarter million posts over a dozen forums.  I think we can get you a waiver.

One would think that a "Head of Renewable Energy Engineering" would require the assistance of an  "Associate Renewable Energy Engineer".
