17 games to get 11 hits.

If he finishes at 199, I am going to fly to Kansas City and leave an upper decker in the Royals offices.

It's not even going to be close. Assuming that he gets 4.5 AB per game and that he plays all 17 games, he'll have around 76 plate appearances. For him to get fewer than 11 hits and just miss 200, he'd have to bat .132 or worse the rest of the way out. Or get walked about 47 times (while batting to his average).

Dear Gleek and other rotisserrie type geeks,

Please let us pretend there's some suspense here. It's all we have to watch.

Love, the Seattle Mariners/Ichiro fans.

He'd have to get 'em over the weekend to make it at home, which I sort of doubt. It's something to keep an eye on, though!
