Title: Build Your Own Buffet Post by: dystopia on March 28, 2010, 08:17:50 PM So stroh's post about mac n' cheese at Hometown Buffet got me to thinking.
If there's mac & cheese at a buffet, I'll get it every time. Not necessarily with every plate, but during the eating session, I'll get mac & cheese at least once. Even if it's a crazy, 1,000 item buffet in Vegas where there's a boatload of things I want to try, I'll get some good old mac & cheese. This has almost gotten me into trouble before. One time I was completely full at a buffet, then someone pointed out there was a soup section I completely missed. So I had to go and get a bowl of New England Clam Chowder. Bad idea. Came close to hurling, and no one likes a guy that hurls at a buffet. So my question is, what 5 items are you pretty much guaranteed to get at any given buffet if they have it. Only things you've seen at a buffet before, nothing special like Grandma's classic coelacanth stuffed with manatee dish.
