Title: *fiddlesticks*offarcticairmass
Post by: Fuzzy on January 16, 2008, 11:03:20 AM
I was thinking of making some reference to "freezing the balls off a brass monkey" but I've recently been alerted to my possibly disturbing trend of monkey/ape-focused threads.

Anywho....it's going to be a cold one this weekend.

Yeah, it was a little chilly out there today.  Just cold enough that the long sleeve t-shirt I was wearing wasn't quite warm enough for a leisurely walk to the mailbox.  But what's a moment of cold anyway?  It's Minnesnowta afterall!

Eagle have you got enough snow to start jumping off your roof yet.

We did.  About the time I was thinking we should start shoveling off the garage roof, the temp warmed up and melted most of the snow.  We still have some, but it's almost closer to being ice than snow.  Very hard and maybe even a bit slippery in some places.

Well, I was all set to post another "nyah, nyah, it's gonna be in the 60s here" sympathetic reply ... and it's just started snowing.  Temps dropping from mid-30s now to low 20s by noon.  "Wintry mix" forecast.

Just got an email from work a few hours ago, explaining the "inclement weather office closure" policy.  No *feces*.  If the roads suck, I'm not coming in -- that's my policy.

Tried to buy some, but the dude selling them couldn't even tell me if they came with wheels or not.

I did just put the tankbag on ... finally.  What a PITA.

Is there a reason to not go with the magnetic style?

That *feces*'s ok for a Triumph.  But you want to go with what's called Full Dress:

Plastic tank.  Triumph changed to metal for 2008.

And I was wrong on the weather -- I was reading the RealFeel, not the actual temps.  It's gonna be 32* ALL DAY, with a mix of rain, snow and freezing rain.  And no commas, serial, medically-induced or otherwise.

In Minnesnowta there are only two seasons: Winter and Road Repair. Some say there are 4 seasons: Winter, Still Winter, Not Winter, and Almost Winter.  Either way, you'd never leave your house if you had a policy like that up here.
