OK, so take your right hand, make a fist, and then cock your wrist (thumb toward shoulder).  With your left index finger, feel at the base of your right thumb: you should feel two tendons, one traveling toward the thumb and the other toward the index finger.  Keep your left fingertip there, and release your cocked wrist.  Feel the right wrist bone and whatever other junk is there?

Yeah, well, about a half-hour ago, my kid walked up and "offered" me a toy, then dropped it before I could reach for it (no malice).  It hit me there.  Holy *goshdarn* Percoset, that hurts!  My thumb is still numb and I don't have full control of it yet.  I also note that brushing my left hand down the right radial nerve (hold your hand with palm pointing left, then stroke down the top or just to the inner side of top with your left hand) causes a much greater tingle in my right hand than does the same thing on the left.

I predict a mysterious "stranger" in Clive's future...
