Title: Man I'm tired
Post by: Spanky on March 22, 2007, 03:08:34 AM
6 day work weeks, 60+ hours a week. I get home at 8:00 to 8:30. I don't see my boys on work days. I have 1 hour to eat, talk with the wife, and get ready for bed. Overtime days area a beating be it classes or just work. My one day off is filled with taking the kids to their games, shopping, and the occasional Honey-Do that I have no time to do.

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad I have a job. It seems to me there is a real problem here. If we have so much work that people have to put their home lives on hold why can't we give jobs to the people that don't have then and everyone is happy. The over worked are relieved and the unemployed are no longer.

In the same boat.  However, I live 5 minutes from work so I always go home and eat dinner w/ the family and then come back to work for a couple more hours.

That's why I make damn sure to only put in a solid 36.5 hours a week.

I hear ya.  The last month has been crazy for me at work.  I'm basically a zombie all day, at work and at home.  Plus, I haven't had time to exercise and I've put on 10 lbs.  I need a vacation, this pace can't last. :sad3:

LOL  ;D

I think I have my supermarket problem under control now by shopping late at night when the store is empty.  At that hour it's only other freaks and hermits, and we go out of our way to avoid eye contact or even sharing the same aisle.  Plus, even though it's a little further away, I go to a supermarket that has Automated Checkout stands, so I can avoid human contact altogether. 8)  :tinfoil:

I'll be taking my 4 day weekend next week. It starts on Wed. My wife is already talking about playing golf on Thursday. I need to get a putter for her before we go.

on that note: Anyone got a lefty?

i hear ya, i love to shop at midnight most of the time.  sometimes it's unavoidable though, particularly on winter days when you're snowed in from driving and have to go to a store in walking distance
