Title: NFL- has it become too soft?

..at the risk of going into "Dr Z" mode on you ...

Yeh, I know, players, equipment, fields = stronger, faster at same "weight" as in the past.  Players also equal bigger paydays and can't afford to get hurt, blahblah.

But honestly, (and I know I'm just about one of the youngest people here)...  when I remember football growing up (got seriously interested around age 8 ).... 

...this is what I remember games/hits/tackles looking like....

You still see hits like that sometimes. Mostly though the DBs would rather just trip people up then hit them. Linemen and Linebackers will still hit if given the chance.

You really don't see good tackling anymore though. So in that respect I agree with you.
