It is tradition for my brother and his old band mates to gather at Galileo's in the Paseo Arts District for a jazzy funkadelic improv jam session. My in-laws watched Van for the Mrs and I to attend. It is entitled Spirit Journey Freedom Festivus Festival and they have some good musicians playing. Some of sounds like chaotic *feces* but there are moments of greatness in each set. Basically 8 25 minute sets one song each with various lineups all having their own vibe. The airing of greviences and feats of strength are held afterwards. After party at Edna's "best box in town" where a many lunch boxes were consumed.
The first festivus years ago was most memorable by far. Basically all of my brother's friends airing of greviences ended up being directed at his then girlfriend. We call her the C word which rhymes with hunt. It didn't go so well but someone finally told her she was the worst person in the world and just like her dog, dobie the needy and psychotic doberman.
