House Minority Leader John A. Boehner offered his sharpest criticism yet against President Barack Obama Thursday, saying his spending habits were beginning to dwarf those of President Bush.

“The president is starting to make President Bush look like a piker,” Boehner told reporters in his weekly news conference. “The era of big government is back.”

Boehner called on Obama to veto the $410 billion omnibus spending bill approved by the House yesterday — a highly unlikely scenario.

“I think we just have to admit we’re broke,” he said. “The president campaigned on fiscal spending. He ought to veto this bill.”

Gee wonder how that happened...

While Boehner said he agreed with Obama’s goal of achieving universal health coverage, he said raising taxes wasn’t the way to accomplish it.

and his alternative is?

Tax cuts, idiot.

It is amazing to listen to the party who's recent Veep once said this:

"You know, Paul, Reagan proved deficits don't matter,"

And then went out and acted accordingly suddenly decide that deficits do, in fact, matter.

Now, if they could just convince anybody but themselves that it's more than just partisan bull*feces*, they might get somewhere.

Unfortunately, 5 successive Republican Presidential terms all resulted in deficits. The last POTUS to balance a budget was a Democrat.

They really do think people are stupid.

The GOP basically look like they are draining the swamp, as if its the only way to really count who are their base.  At this rate, my guess is they will bottom out at ~15%....pretty much just the bitterz who grew up with Timothy McVeigh posters in their bedrooms.
