Title: [Politics/Religion] How to win friends and influence people

I mean really, WTF is this all about:

Quote
ANCHORAGE, Alaska - Alaska lawmakers on Friday began reviewing a lengthy and politically sensitive investigative report focusing on whether Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin abused her authority as governor.

The first-term Alaska governor has been accused of firing a state commissioner to settle a family dispute. But the report is also expected to touch on whether Palin's husband meddled in state affairs and whether her administration inappropriately accessed employee medical records.

The Anchorage Daily News quoted a lawmaker as saying Friday's closed-door hearings could take hours. The paper also reported that legislators, journalists and others were greeted outside the meeting room by McCain-Palin campaign volunteers who were dressed as clowns and who said, "Welcome to the kangaroo court."

What kind of juvenile crap is that?

After drinking a few six-packs, it probably seemed like a good idea.

lol, having been to Anchorage, it's really not entirely out of the question that they were hammered at 10am or so...

Seriously: I could see those kind of theatrics on the steps of the capitol, but in the hallway?

.........volunteers who were dressed as clowns and who said, "Welcome to the kangaroo court."

What the *fudge* are they supposed to do the rest of the year when the circus isn't in town.
