Story makes no sense: 5,000 pound SUV rolls int a fire hydrant, and the bathing suit model wife has to smash out the back window to save El Tigre?

Know what makes MORE sense?

This:

Quote
We're told he said his wife had confronted him about reports that he was seeing another woman. The argument got heated and, according to our source, she scratched his face up. We're told it was then Woods beat a hasty retreat for his SUV -- but according to our source, Woods says his wife followed behind with a golf club. As Tiger drove away, she struck the vehicle several times with the club.

We're told Woods became "distracted," thought the vehicle was stopped, and looked to see what had happened. At that point the SUV hit the fire hydrant and then hit a tree.

We're also told Woods had said during the conversation Friday he had been taking prescription pain medication for an injury, which could explain why he seemed somewhat out of it at the scene.

I called this yesterday before I saw the reports today. Hits a tree without air bag means he was distracted. And she comes out of the house and happens to have a golf club in hand?

That back window was smashed out prior to SUV hitting tree.  ;)

so if this is all true, will any of you have lost enough respect for this clown to quit cheering for him?

Why would it?

If anything, the perception  that Mr. Perfect is slightly less than perfect makes him MORE sympathetic.

It certainly hasn't hurt Daly.

And who among us hasn't had a 'SuperCrazy Biatch' moment or two in our lives?

That said, the level of denial among the usual suspects in the usual places is pretty funny.

Yes and no.  I actually called it yesterday.  I told the b.i.l. I bet you a round of golf that club went through the window before the crash.

This firfulle won't change my opinion on him, but I think his magic and appeal are largely starting to fade.  I can see a ton of other people turning from him for it.   I admit, he doesn't hold my attention as much as he once did.

that's what I mean, sort of, I think.

I was referring to lie/cover up.  I would have actually liked him more (assuming this conjecture is all true) if he came out and just told the truth.  This lie/coverup  to try and maintain his image is so typical, etc.   Much like the persistent fake-smile from McBoobs

You believe the reports that he's actually a Dique out of the public eye?

I've heard it several times, I just find it hard to believe.

He's ALWAYS been very private bordering on taciturn about his private life, so much so that there was speculation (wishful thinking?) that he was stricken with teH GhEy early in his career.

A pretty big crack in that veneer is at the very least amusing, and I think makes him more sympathetic.

FWIW, I've replaced quite a few objects of some value broken at the hands of Mrs. MFAWG's versions 1.0 and 2.0.

Version 3.0 would have just killed me. In my sleep. With her bare *goshdarn* hands.

LOL, back to the original story:

http://web.tigerwoods.com/news/article/200911297726222/news/

Quote
As you all know, I had a single-car accident earlier this week, and sustained some injuries. I have some cuts, bruising and right now I'm pretty sore.

This situation is my fault, and it's obviously embarrassing to my family and me. I'm human and I'm not perfect. I will certainly make sure this doesn't happen again.

This is a private matter and I want to keep it that way. Although I understand there is curiosity, the many false, unfounded and malicious rumors that are currently circulating about my family and me are irresponsible.

The only person responsible for the accident is me. My wife, Elin, acted courageously when she saw I was hurt and in trouble. She was the first person to help me. Any other assertion is absolutely false.

This incident has been stressful and very difficult for Elin, our family and me. I appreciate all the concern and well wishes that we have received. But, I would also ask for some understanding that my family and I deserve some privacy no matter how intrusive some people can be.

 [sm_devil]

I don't really cheer for any golfers nor do I really hate anyone. I completely respect Tiger's golf game and what he has accomplished. I have my beefs with his behavior at times but he is one of the top 5 of all time and I've enjoyed watching it.

I just don't get wrapped up emotionally in any athlete or celebrity to the point of worship or hate.

Have I lost respect? Not for his on-course play but I don't know...what's the real story? If he isn't talking because he was playing around it's not like it hasn't happened before - not that I condone it. So yeah, he probably takes a hit personally. Although I really wouldn't call it lying or covering up if he decides to say nothing more.

Wouldn't exactly be my PR 101 advice though.*

*see Letterman, David. Kind of a non-story now.

From all appearances his main goal is for his wife to not get arrested for domestic violence at this point. Good luck with that eltigre.  ;)

Do you think maybe he is not playing in his own tourney this weekend is because he still has Elin's fingernail scratches on his face. :-X

I'm thinking putter. It's the most logical club to have just laying around the house.

I'm not entirely convinced that a fairway metal or driver could actually take out an Escalade window.

Some experimentation may be necessary on that hypothesis... [sm_devil]

Still waiting for the signal from Steve on which club she pulled.
