Not generally, but our break rooms here are pretty well stocked with such items.

i see.  no break room here.

i usually grab 2-3 meals worth of plastic silverware/napkins  when I'm out,  in case the servers don't pack anything in the bag (which is more often than not the case)

As a CEO, one of my most valued perks is a generous per diem and so I try to avoid "plastic utensil" type places for working lunches.

But yes, I've been known to 'forget' to un-tuck from my lap  a particularly nicely embroidered restaurant napkin, as a little souvenir.

I do now. :-\

We don't really have a break room, it's more like a kitchenette.  It used to be well-stocked with plastic utensils, but not anymore.  I learned this the hard way one day when I came back with Chicken Tikka Masala from an Indian takeout place, and they didn't put anything in the bag.

I couldn't find anything in the cupbourds, not even a plastic knife, the closest I could find were a few coffee stirrers.  I could have gone back out to find something, but I managed to shovel/drink the tikka masala/rice out of the side of the container with a coffee stirrer very slowly holding it up to my mouth.  It took almost an hour to finish it and probably didn't sound very pleasant to my neighbors, but it was worth it.

Our break/lunch room is well stocked with plastic utensils, paper plates, styrofoam cups and certain condiments. It's a pretty nice set-up if you're bringing lunch from home.

What's wrong with bringing back the silverware from the sit down joint?

Will you consider selling the sporks separately?

I'm saving them up until I have enough to make a super pretentious abstract art piece. Or maybe a really cool fort. I haven't decided which yet.

We have a full kitchen in our control room, stocked with paper plates, bowls, cups, utensils, as well as all the cookware you would to need to cook a complete meal.
We are a very remote facility, 30+ miles to the closest convience store, 40+ miles to the closest fast food...really sucks when you forget to bring something.

We have a cafe upstairs so I can always go up there and get stuff. Usually I have some 'ware in my drawer in the shop though.

I just check the bag before I leave the restaurant.   [sm_devil]

Though I've been waiting for a boy scout type to respond -- doesn't anyone carry swiss army knives any more?

Generally not.

If I go out to eat and the meal requires utensils of some sort I'll eat in.  If it's just 'grabbin' food.. like a burger or what not I'll just eat back at work.  I will however swipe napkins and some of those moist towelettes...

Usually, I do.  At the moment I don't because I decided the one that I was carry was too special to carry around with me, and I haven't wanted to spend $$$ for a new one.  :D

I've heard of the spork, but what's the "fort"?

And FWIW, I don't take extra cutlery.  We're well stocked at work, in both metal and polymer.

I will tolerate no discussion of inferior polymers.

Partying with Clive is so much more interesting if you've recently had a refresher course in Latin.

Well, I don't hablo the ol' Latino so well, but I figure, I could party with him ok, on account of, I could woo him with stories of recent routine toileting events.

I'd probably win him over with some layer talk too.  You know. Party of the first party, crap like that.  Hell, I'd slam my Grain Belt Premium bottle right smack on top of his Oatmeal Stout, or some other FuFu, 8 dollar, bull*feces* beer, and watch it erupt, all over the table...........Oh, we would be laughing!!!!!!!!......Then we would be best friends forever, or BFF's!  Like we call it in the business.  You wouldn't understand.

Sweet.  I knew 5 1/2 years of taking Latin would come in handy someday. [sm_fingersx]

So that's what you meant when you used that abbreviation.

Re vera, potas bene.

Re vera, potas bene.

Boil 'em, mash 'em, stick 'em in a stew.
