Title: Speaking of the George Foreman grill
Post by: gleek on March 15, 2010, 09:40:54 PM
I got sick of wasting half of a roll of paper towels cleaning this thing. I now wash the sumbitch in the sink. I keep it lying vertically on its side and wash it with soap and sponge.

I got one of these as a gift. It's NEVER BEEN OUT OF THE BOX!

12" cast iron skillet FTW!

it probably shortens the life some (non stick wise), but no worse than probably the sponge....

we pour boiling water on it after cooking while it's still hot.   usually gets 90+% of the goop into the tray.  the remaining bits are easily removed with the fork and 1-2 wet towels.

We've never had one.  Karen has talked for years about getting one.  I suppose I should break down and buy one.

So in that vein:

Model suggestions?

I've had one of these things for use.

It looked and sounded good at the time...

To be honest, I hate the *goshdarn* thing with a passion!

I hate cleaning it, it takes up some much space.... I just want to use it as a *goshdarn* frisbee!!!

we always just use an old fashioned grill pan when we want to "grill" indoors.  but here in palm springs, that thing's gonna grown some spider webs.  now in NJ where we just came from, that's another matter altogether...

I dunno anything about that dude.  all I know is that after 2 and a half years in the wilderness I have returned to SoCal where I belong.  Born and raised (not necessarily in PS, though) here in SoCal.  Feels good to be back.

I know the feeling.  Glad you made it back out here.  Although I'm interested in going back home.  :-\

As for Derion, who the *fudge* knows.  Blader prolly had Derions own Death Squads turn on him.

He has not moderated anyone into oblivion in a long time.  (having never done it begin with, but threatening it multiple times notwithstanding.)
