Title: so much hypocrisy-- *fudge* the no fun league.

a lot of these are the same plays made by the defender (exlcuding meriweather on heap, and the clowns hit on shipley), but the offensive player ducks down or moves while the defender has already initiated the effort to hit him "clean".   penalizing the defender for that?  stupid.

put skirts on them.

I can't wait till some 5th string WR intentionally headbutts a star CB/S then flops around dizzy on the field soccer style , acts concussed, just to get him ejected and suspended.  nevermind a lot of emerging science shows the REAL head trauma occurs on the line where repeated accumulated minor helmet to helmet hits occur just about ever play, just with far less momentum and not involving "star" skill players.  I mean those helmets don't scratch themselves up now, do they?

Don't they still sell "greatest hits" videos on nfl website? . Yup.

"star" skill player victimized by flagrant helmet spear.
oh wait, that's star skill player utilizing his helmet as a weapon and the announcers jizzing over it-- remind me why defenders are supposed to make form tackles again?

surely this type of "hit" will be suspendable in the NEW nfl rules now, too?

of course, it doesn't help when the writers and media are clueless.

where is the helmet to helmet here?
oh, there isn't.
derp derp derp

fark these clueless idiots.  do you not know how to watch a replay in slowmo?   Massoquoai got hurt, and that's too bad, and really I know the NFL wants to protect players.... but he DUCKED his head and went fetal because he heard the truck coming,  and the contact of the tackle came from a shoulder that was GOING to be in his chest.

Scapegoating this kind of accidental tackle is BS.  now again, I have no problem for targeting deliberate malicious stuff like when a guy is airborne and being held and you spear up with your helmet crown into him, or you do this AP spearing run, or you just clearly shoulder shiver a guy in the head on purpose (shipley)

18 games put the players at even a greater risk for injury.  $$$$
