Title: Waistline Poll Post by: dystopia on September 24, 2009, 04:00:03 PM So I went to a wedding a couple of weeks ago and realized that my suit pants no longer fit and had to buy new pants.
I ended up buying pants with a waist size of 38! It's been a while since I've bought pants, and the last pair I bought were size 34. (I'll admit I wear pretty loose clothes as my sense of style is firmly stuck in the past*) Just curious about the folks on this site. No need to post anything if you want to remain anonymous, I just thought it might be an interesting poll. * (http://www.oleole.com/media/main/images/blogs/images/group1/subgrp399/blogimg_4353_79799-20090424182003296349.png) Title: Re: Waistline Poll Post by: stroh on September 24, 2009, 04:05:13 PM I picked 34.
I was 32 ever since I got out of high school, but the last few pairs of pants I have bought have been a little bigger. Seems to depend on the drawws. Jeans(brand) v. Pants (Dockers) v. Shorts, etc. However, I think I am a pretty solid 34 now. Title: Re: Waistline Poll Post by: twoiron on September 24, 2009, 04:14:11 PM I picked 34. I would suspect that your size 34 is a generous 34, in which case I'd probably be about a 30 in US sizing ;) Title: Re: Waistline Poll Post by: birdymaker on September 24, 2009, 04:16:35 PM When I quit smoking 5 years i was a solid 30, since i could remember. Solid 34 now. :sad3:
Title: Re: Waistline Poll Post by: Walfredo on September 24, 2009, 04:52:23 PM Normally a 36 but I put on some sympathy pregnancy weight for my wife and am now a 38. I roller coaster between the two sizes but it is hard to tell visually being 6' 4"so I carry my weight well. But the weight likes to collect in the love handle region since I have such a long waist.

Holy...... [sm_shock] Eat a biscuit girl! With gravy! Repeat! I prefer biscuits with butter and honey. However, 2 biscuits won't help. Neither will 4. As Kev said, we out-eat everyone we know. Friends think we don't eat enough, until they see us eat. Then it becomes a topic for conversation. Relatives are convinced we must have hollow legs. Nothing we can do about it; we can't gain weight when we try. We're blessed with high metabolism. (And I must say that I don't mind that one bit. :D) Title: Re: Waistline Poll Post by: hobbit on September 29, 2009, 10:22:02 PM Well, since the option was 26-, I went with that, but 26" is still 5" too large...
